1. Vivarium is about responsible hope. Yes the situation is probably fucked up, but we believe that there is still hope for a better future and that can do something about it if we accept our reality and take responsibility.
2. Vivarium is about change making. Change begins, first of all with oneself and secondly by those people and those realities that are closest to us. We cannot guide anyone further than we have gone and create change without action.
3. Vivarium is about small actions that make a positive impact. We take the approach of the artisan and admire the greatness that lies in small things. Don’t wait to be kind, act now, start small. We are a microcosmos of what could be and is not yet.
4. Vivarium is about being open to the new, without losing sight of the fact that there are things that never change and that we must remember. One of them is the need for community. Paradoxically, in a hyperconnected world, we feel more lonely and individualism is increasing.
5. Vivarium is about co-creation. We want to explore new ways of living together, working together and relating with each other. We want to do it together, in an exploratory way, with as few preconceived ideas as possible. We want to do it collaborating, letting go part of our dreams to work for bigger shared dreams.
6. Vivarium is about more conscious relationships. Because better relationships are necessary to face what’s next and they might be first step of the solution for many of the problems we witness.
7. Vivarium is about integrating. The person is one, so why should life and work be two separate realities? We believe in an integral vision where one can be him/herself independently of what is doing and find the way to a healthy balanced life.
8. Vivarium is about learning. To face what’s next there’s no recipe that guarantees success. We need to constantly learn, unlearn and relearn. We have a life long learning journey ahead, and we want to collaborate and exchange our knowledge, skills and talents.
9. Vivarium is about you. With your complex and vivid life. With your story, ambitions, dreams, routines and fears, bringing the best you can at every moment, and acknowledging that it might not be perfect but that what you bring is needed.
10. Vivarium is about us. With our complex and vivid lives. With our stories, aspirations, talents and flaws, bringing the best we can at every moment and realizing that we can make a real impact if we work together and commit to every night, go to bed feeling that we left things a bit better than we found them.
